What are some types of physicals?

There are many types of physicals. A-P Medical Group provides the following physicals:

Annual physical exam

Your annual physical exam is the most important health visit of the year. During this exam, your provider evaluates your whole health. They assess your current state of health and look for factors that may negatively influence your health in the future.

The information gathered during your annual physical exam also helps you and your provider at A-P Medical Group see how your health changes from year to year.

Department of transportation (DOT) physical

If you have a commercial driver’s license, then you need a DOT physical exam every 24 months in order to drive a commercial vehicle. The purpose of this exam is to make sure you don’t have any health issues that might put public safety at risk.

Only providers listed on the Federal Motor Carrier and Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry can perform DOT physicals. A-P Medical Group has licensed medical professionals who are registered with FMCSA to provide DOT physicals. 

What can I expect during a physical?
